Luke

Chapter Seven

The Foyer

Luke

I kiss her again when we enter the foyer of my loft. It is an urgent and needy kiss. One that I cannot stop alone. She will have to pull away or I will continue to pull her in. She is simply irresistible. The moans that come from her as I start to nip at her lips, throat, and top of her chest are growing are causing my dick to harden by the moment.

I have not let myself be physically close to anyone, let alone a woman, in years.

Women are a distraction. Beautiful women are my weakness. Black American Women are my dream. Raina is all three and more. I want to let go. Just as I decide to, she lets go of me.

When our bodies part we look at each other. There is no sound except the rhythm of heavy panting between us. We resemble two teenagers trying to decide if we should risk sex or just continue making-out. Thank God Raina pulls us out of the trance.

“Umm maybe we should eat. Are we ordering in?”

I turn and fall forehead first against a wall in my foyer. I look down to catch my breath and will my dick to deflate. I do not want to scare the woman by cooking her dinner with a raging hard-on. After a moment, I stand up and take Raina’s hand. I feign offense. “How dare you accuse me of ordering food when I promised you dinner. I ma’am am an African gourmet chef, and tonight I am preparing Jollof rice with ground nut stew and chicken for my lovely guest.”

Raina laughs as I lead her into my open living area. Not many men put as much thought as I have into their home. The loft has the normal industrial finishes; smooth cement floors, exposed piping and brick, with black steel finishes. The space if softened by the mix of traditional and contemporary Ghanaian art filling every wall space. My furniture is no the cold leather most men have, I have cream linen covered couches and I sourced the fabric for my custom upholstered armchairs from England. The bright patterns pop of the muted floors and walls well.

“Luke, this is absolutely beautiful.” She breaks away from my hand and takes stock of every inch of the space. She thoughtfully comments on every piece of artwork covering the walls and I am more than glad to be her docent. When she zeroes in on my native sculptures and woodwork, I leave her to begin dinner.

I prepped everything this morning, so I only have to warm the chicken and stew and make the rice. Once. Put the pot of rice on I head back into the family room to find Raina curled-up and sitting cross-legged on my couch. She’s reading a book. I hang-back so she does not see me right away and I watch her. For the first time today, I noticed the red sundress she’s wearing. She bares her shoulders a lot and it’s a good move.
